Evidence and Influencing Co-ordinator
The Life Changes Trust wishes to appoint an Evidence and Influencing Co-ordinator. The post-holder will work within the People Affected by Dementia Programme team. For more information about the Trust’s dementia programme please see http://www.lifechangestrust.org.uk/people-affected-by-dementia
The successful candidate will be able to draw on evidence from work funded by the Life Changes Trust, and from elsewhere, to build and promote throughout Scotland a robust, evidence-based and practical case for an integrated and holistic approach to dementia. The role will focus on improvements that can be made at a local level in order to make a fundamental difference to the lives of people living with dementia, their carers and families. The Co-ordinator will work closely with the Programme Director, as well as with other Trust staff, awardees, people living with dementia, unpaid carers and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of dementia policy and practice in Scotland, and a willingness to deepen that learning.
- A good working knowledge of local and central government structures and decision-making processes.
- A positive track record of working effectively with diverse stakeholders including people affected by dementia, policy makers, practitioners and researchers.
- An ability to manage knowledge and evidence efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate would have a positive track record of influencing significant change at a strategic level.
